Powerful LED lights, very useful.

 It's very tight spacing.

 Cables are running on top of ceiling.

 On top of the Virgin Mary.

 On top of the ceiling is the roof.  There actually seems to be abandoned stuffs inside.

 Best gauge electrical wire in use.

 Plies are very handy.

CQ40 blackout, no power, won't turn on.

The problem is a CQ40  Celeron unit.  Problem initially thought was a faulty AC adapter.  It's not.  Unit won't turn on even w/ new adapter.

Checked the power component of the CQ40's mainboard.  Turns out, it's the zener diode, as shown on the picture with arrows and circles.  It is in the power section.  The zener diode is shorted.  That's the problem.

Behold, the zener diode.  We had to cannibalize from an old board.  It's hard to find this piece.  We got lucky to find one from an asshat's old motherboard, which is located in the video section of said asshat's board.

CCTV setup part 1

This is a semi-major undertaking of  setting up 8 cameras (3 outdoor, 5 indoor) in one of our major clients.  We needed a ladder, 3 rolls 135 meter rolls coax cables.  We also needed electrical wires with sufficient gauge just for fire safety; outlets; moldings (just to keep costs reasonably low); rugby, cable ties; electrical tape of course.

First, the PC that will record the areas are setup...

Then we begin the layoutting of the cables.  We purchased a expandable ladder.  Ladder is 3.7 meters maximum.  But alas, we will find out the length is insufficient in some cases.

We will go through dark areas of the building, so it's best to use a high-power lamp like the one from Fox Electronics' emergency light.  It has 2 diode lamp, capable of running for 10 hours if 1 lamp running.

The cables will have to run above the ceiling, so tearing a hole is necessary.

The ceiling, now open for insertion.  Not an easy task.  The cement ceiling is just less than a foot from the wood.
